Forensic maps are considered an important tool in tackling crime hotspots, as they play a very important role in identifying areas most vulnerable to crime and analyzing crime patterns and of their causes. They also help evaluate the effectiveness of security and social interventions in reducing crime. Track changes in crime patterns over time. This technology allows crime analysts to identify crime hot spots, trends, and other patterns using geographic information systems (GIS). Crime maps are characterized by studying the distribution of the police and criminal justice system in different regions. In general, crime maps constitute a powerful tool for understanding and analyzing crime and directing security and social efforts to address it in a more targeted and effective manner.
